Hello, I was wondering how a person goes about getting certified to becoming a Karate instructor.
I received my blackbelt a few years ago but have practiced less and less over time.. I want to get back to practice and get 'on top of it' again and then apply for certification to teach... Do you know what the channels are to getting there? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks very much.

You have to be at a certain level before you can qualify for an instructor certification. For example to get an JKA level D instructor certification (first level) you need to be at least a second dan. For level C you need to be a third dan and on it goes...etc... Of course first thing you need to do, as you've already mention is get yourself back to regular training. It all starts there! :-)
